Front End Developers United Meetup: Archetype CSS Framework and Inject JS Dependency Management

January 23, 2013

The Front End Developers United meetup will be hosting two talks at LinkedIn on January 31, 2013 at 6:30 PM. Eugene O'Neill will unveil Archetype, a compelling alternative to Bootstrap for creating flexible and reusable CSS for your site. Next, Jakob Heuser will present Inject, a CommonJS compliant dependency management library for the browser.

Please RSVP to let us know you are coming. Drinks and light snacks will be provided, as well as some free swag if you arrive early!

Archetype

Archetype is the CSS framework behind the "Katy redesign" that is dramatically changing the look and feel of LinkedIn. It is built on top of Compass and Sass to provide a scalable UI pattern and component library and to addresses cross-browser issues. Archetype will be open sourced soon.

Inject

Inject is a CommonJS Compliant loader that runs in the browser and makes dependency management easy. It allows you to write modular JavaScript code, where each file declares its dependencies, and supports intelligent localStorage caching of individual files or even concatenated files. You can find the inject source code on Github.
